? How to mine $DPR tokens with Deeper Network Mini & Pico

The Deeper Connect Mini & Pico allows you to mine $DPR tokens from home with ease. As of June 1st 2022, Basic Mining has been disabled and Basic Mining 2.0 has been launched. This next generation of mining is a more sustainable version that focuses on a stable and durable growth of the Deeper Network. You earn $DPR by sharing your bandwidth after staking some $DPR tokens.

How does the Deeper Network Mini / Pico mine $DPR?

The Deeper Network Mini & Pico mine $DPR by offering some of your internet bandwidth with the network as part of the DPN network. Enabling mining will trigger the Proof of Credit (PoCr) consensus mechanism to start evaluating your miner to become eligible to earn $DPR.

How much does the Deeper Network Mini / Pico earn in $DPR? What is the profitability?

To start the actual mining proces, your device will need a credit score of at least 100. This is obtained by staking at least 5000 DPR tokens (currently costing $195). This will enable mining and reward 2.74 DPR per day. Stake up to 100.000 DPR to get a maximum of 800 credit score earn 164.38 DPR per day. Note that withdrawing DPR below the below mentioned thresholds will reduce your mining rewards.

As you can see from the image above, rewards are not linear but exponentially. As you stake more DPR, your daily earnings drastically go up.

Of course, the above calculation does not take in consideration an increase in token value. You might buy 10.000 DPR today to stake at $0.04 = $400, but perhaps in exactly 1 year the token value is $0.40, meaning your accumulated 3000 tokens (365 days * 8.22 DPR per day) are worth $1200, on top of the staked 10.000 tokens worth $4000 you can withdraw after the 9 month lock.

It’s also worth mentioning that the Mini and Pico were originally not designed to be a crypto miner. This is a bonus feature added later. The main purpose of both devices is to provide a secure decentralized VPN for your home while blocking ads. The mining capability is a nice bonus to have.

To start mining $DPR tokens with your Deeper Connect Mini or Pico, follow the following 4 steps:

1. Login to your Deeper Connect Mini/Pico.
   Plug in your device to your router and use an ethernet cable or WiFi to connect to your Deeper connect Mini. In your browser, head to 34.34.34.34 to access the login screen of your device. Before logging in, copy the code below the password field as you’ll need it in the next step.
   
   The default login codes are:
   Username: admin
   Password: admin
   Tip, change your password immediately to up your security.
   
2. Register an account
   Register on the Deeper Network registry. Head to https://device-bsc.deeper.network/register
   

• Image Code = copy the numbers / letters on the right side of this field
• Verification code = enter your phone number above and hit ‘Send’. You will receive the code by text
• Password = set a password for your account
• Confirm password = reenter your new password
• BEP20 address = fill in your Binance Smartchain address from your Metamask wallet
• Device login page code = the code you copied in step 1 from the login screen.
• SN = device serial number. Head to your device home page (34.34.34.34) and go to the submenu ‘Device -> System’ and copy the serial number under the tab ‘Hardware information’.

3. Stake DPR tokens.
   This will lock (not burn) your DPR tokens for at least 9 months.
   Head to https://device-bsc.deeper.network/login?first=true&tab=1 and login to create a Deeper Chain wallet.
   Click on ‘Create Wallet’ under the ‘Deeper Chain Wallet’ tab. You will see 12 words that are your private key. Make sure to write them down somewhere (physically) and store it safe as it will be the only way for you to recover your login details.
   
   In the next step, choose how many DPR tokens you want to initially stake. You will now need the amount of DPR you wish to stake on your Metamask wallet.
   
4. Bind a wallet
   Wait an hour and log (back) in to your Deeper Connect home page (34.34.34.34) and head to the tab ‘DPR’. If you don’t see this yet, reboot your device by going to the ‘Administration’ tab and hit ‘Reboot’
   
   Click on ‘Wallet’ -> ‘Wallet Manager’ and hit ‘Bind Wallet (mnemonic) and fill in the 12 words that you wrote down earlier.

Congratulations! You are now mining $DPR.
